Howrah: Chaos spread at Howrah’s Liluah on Wednesday late night after miscreants
created havoc inside Netaji Vidyyatan Higher Secondary School.
According to the school’s principal Bholanath Keshari, few morning-workers informed him on Thursday morning that they saw smoke emitting from the school building. He rushed to the school and saw that the miscreants were heckling head sir’s room and two other teachers’ rooms. They also had set important documents, computer, printer, scanner, monitor, microscopes and other such educational instruments on fire.
The miscreants also created havoc at the drinking water tank too. An attempt was made to break the lock of the school office almirah. Properties worth 2-2.5 lakh rupees was lost. Fire tenders were pressed into service who brought the fire under control. A written complaint was made by the school.
The miscreants also created chaos at Swami Jingar Young Association club, a nearby club. It is yet to be known the reason for their actions. The police have already started an investigation.
