Pune: A team from the central government is scheduled to visit the campus of Film and Television Institute of India at Pune on Thursday. A three member team of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry will be visiting Pune to take stock of the situation and talk to students and the authorities.
Five students of the institute was arrested on Wednesday, but were granted bail on a bond of Rs 3000 while 12 others filed anticipatory bail. Meanwhile after a video was released where it was seen that FTII director Prashant Pathrabe was being allegedly cornered and manhandled by the students, the students also released a video claiming that nothing such happened.
Earlier, the director of the institute accused the students of torturing him and claimed that the police complaint against the students was filed without any political pressure.
