New Delhi: The Central Government will be moving to supreme court against its order of quashing the Jat Quota in Government examinations which has forced the UPSC to put an hold in the declaration of results of the UPSC (Main) examination.
Top officials of the home, personnel, Law and Social Justice and empowerment are framing the government’s next course of action in wake of the apex court’s order. The decision was taken after a delegation of Jat leaders met Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the quashing of OBC reservations for the community.
The Jat leaders are seeking a review of the Supreme Court decision of March 17 quashing a notification of the UPA government extending reservations to the community in nine states.
The Haryana BJP Government has come out in open support of Job quotas for the Jats. The results of the civil services examinations would have been out by now if the March 17 order had not been givem by the Supreme Court
