Celebrate ‘Love’ juxtaposed in ‘Fear’

When fear meets love, Life celebrates World Kiss Day on Friday, the thirteenth!

On one side its Friday, the thirteenth and on the other hand its Kiss Day, the last juncture before Valentine’s Day. Friday hosts one of the most difficult paradoxes of life. As one would like to leave behind a warm impression in the form of a kiss, a remembrance of Friday the thirteenth is sure to leave a mark in the lives of all mortals. Here are some facts on Friday, the thirteenth:

Jesus, was crucified on a Friday and ever since the day has been associated with ‘general ill omen’

Thirteen guests are believed to have attended the Last Supper, the night before Jesus was killed, according to Stuart Vyse, a psychology professor at Connecticut College. And Judas Iscariot, the disciple who betrayed Jesus, is considered to have been the 13th guest, Vyse said.

Friday the thirteenth is called as ‘paraskevidekatriaphobia’ in technical terms. Friday the 13th, also known as Black Friday in some countries, is considered an unlucky day in the Western World.

On the other hand, Kiss Day is celebrated all over the world. However, this day is not confined to a Western Belief only. A kiss is a form of a statement of Love. It is an expression of the sensuous proclamation of the most enduring emotion of life. Kiss is a symbol of affection also.

So, on this day the emotions of sensuality and fear get juxtaposed to give a real new taste to life. Feel the fear in order to love it.
