CBSE Class 10 Results Announced

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared CBSE Board Class 10th Results 2016, on Saturday, May 28, as per news agency ANI. The CBSE announced the class X Board exam results at around 12.50 pm. In 2016, a total of 1491293 candidates registered for the Class 10 exam. This amounts to an increase of about 8.5 % candidates over that of last year.

Thiruvanathapuram region is at the top with a pass percentage of 99.87%. Recording a pass percentage of 96.36%, girls have once again performed better than boys. Boys had a pass percentage of 96.11%.

After submitting the same, the results will appear on the screen. The candidates are advised to take a printout for future reference. The schools will automatically get their results on email ids already registered with the Board. The results would also be disseminated through IVRS. The telephone numbers of NIC and MTNL through which results can be accessed through IVRS are (a) National Informatics Centre: 011 – 24300699 or (b) MTNL: 011 -28127030.

Category wise, the Central Government run Jawahar Navodyaya Vidyalayas have scored a pass percentage of 98.87 per cent followed by Kendriya Vidyalayas which have a pass percentage of 98.85 per cent.

Independent schools have a pass percentage of 97.72 per cent while government schools recorded a pass percentage of 86.61 per cent. According to data shared by CBSE, 85.62 percent students of Government aided schools cleared the exam.
