CBI notices Allahabad bank seeking TMC transactions

Kolkata: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday sent a notice to Allahabad bank located at Harish Chatterjee Road in Kolkata, seeking the financial transaction of Trinamool accounts in the bank.

As per reports, Trinamool Congress opened around 21 accounts in the above mentioned bank. The Bureau has directed the bank to furnish a comprehensive statement of the financial transactions made through these accounts over the time.

Earlier, the General Secretary of TMC Subrata Bakshi had furnished details of financial transaction of the party to CBI. It is reported that after observing many discrepancies in Bakshi’s report, CBI issued the letter to the bank seeking details.  The agency will be cross checking the details provided by Bakshi and the bank to prepare a comprehensive report.
