New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a case against Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and his family in a corruption case.
CBI says Singh and his family members acquired illegal income/assets worth Rs 6.1 crore while he was steel minister from 2009 to 2011.
CBI sources said the preliminary inquiry is against Mr. Singh, his wife Pratibha Singh, son Vikramaditya Singh, daughter Aparajita Singh and an LIC agent Anand Chauhan.
It has been alleged that while serving as the Union Steel Minister he had invested Rs 6.1 crore in Life insurance policies in his and his family member’s name through LIC agent Anand Chauhan.
