Kabul: At least seven people were killed after a cargo plane belonging to Silk Way Airlines crashed in Afghanistan’s southern Helmand province on Thursday.
According to Azerbaijan’s civil aviation administration officials, the plane crashed after taking off from Dwyer airport in Helmand province, reports the Khaama Press.
The officials said that the crew of the cargo plane was from Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. No further details have been given regarding the cause of the incident. However, reports say that the cargo plane was leased from the Silk Way airlines.
