New Delhi: Speaking for the first time after the election results of Gujarat polls, Congress President Rahul Gandhi credited the party workers for ‘good show’ in Gujarat and said that people of Gujarat had shown so much love in him.
“People of Gujarat had shown so much love for me They have sent a message that anger and money could be defeated by love and brotherhood,” said Rahul.
He credited the party workers for ‘moral victory’ in Gujarat and termed the election results as a big jolt to the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP). He said this is the lowest margin of victory for BJP which shows they are losing credibility on their home turf.
“BJP’s propaganda has failed. The people in Gujarat don’t believe in Modi’s model of development. The PM talks of vikas but can’t answer questions and has been exposed,” he told reporters outside the Parliament.
Rahul congratulated the new governments in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh and said that his party accepts the verdict of the people.
