Calcutta High Court, Appellate side is inviting application from the eligible candidates for the posts of Driver. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on plain paper along with testimonials.

Vacancy Details:

DRIVER

No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos. (UR-01, SC-01/ Exempted/ Ex-Serviceman)

Educational Qualification: i) Class – VIII pass.

ii) Must have up-to-date India Driving Licence (West Bengal),
iii) Efficiency in driving cars/light motor vehicles of different categories,
iv) Knowledge in Automobile mechanism.

Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-40 years as on the date of application.

Pay Scale: Rs. 5400- Rs.25200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2600/-

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.

Note: SC/ST/OBC candidates of other States shall be treated as General Candidates.

Note: Candidates selected for the post will be on purely temporary basis but is likely to be made permanent.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Practical Test and Interview.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.200/- (Rs.50/- S.C./S.T. of West Bengal candidates only) as Application Fee.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply on plain paper along with attested copies of testimonials in support of Educational Qualification, Caste, Age, Experience certificate (if applicable) and any other relevant documents

Prepare application on plain paper of A-4 size by mentioning the following details.

(i) Full name of the candidate (in capital letters), (ii) Fathers/Husband’s Name, (iii) Name of the post applied for, (iv) Date of Birth, (v) Actual age on the date of application, (vi) Address (Present and Permanent, along with Pin Code No.) with Telephone No. if any, (vii) Educational Qualifications, (viii) Other Qualifications, if any (ix) Experience, if any (x) Up-to-date Driving Licence No. with the date of issue, (xi) Whether belongs to S.C. / S.T. / O.B.C-A, O.B.C.-B, Meritorious Sports Person, Person with Disabilities (xii) Nationality and (xiii) Details of depositing applications fees by giving Indian Postal Order No., Date and Amount.

Candidates must also enclose 01 (25 cm x 11 cm) Self-Addressed envelope with the Application Form affixed with postage stamp of Rs.5/-

The envelope containing the print-out/enclosures should be superscribed on top with — “NAME OF THE POST APPLIED FOR ______”

Last Date and Address: The duly filled Application form along with enclosures should reach at the following address — To the Registrar General, High Court, Calcutta – 700 001, on or before 02/08/2017 (4:45 pm).
