Calcutta HC Terms Provisory Permission To BJP’s Ratha Yatra In Bengal


Kolkata: After two hours of hearing, justice Tapabrata Chakraborty bench of Calcutta High Court on Thursday has termed contitional permission to BJP ‘democratic rally’ Rath Yatra in West Bengal.

Calcutta High Court in their statement said that, State government will take all the measures. The party has to inform their event before 12 hours of the programme. State administration has to provide adequate number of security personnel. On the other hand, BJP has to maintain all the traffic rules to avoid inconvenience of the common people.

After a fortnight, Calcutta High Court sentenced the final statement on this issue. The TMC led government and BJP got involved in war of words in front of justice Tapabrata Chakraborty. Almost two hours of question-answer round, court has sentenced the decision.

Court also cleared that BJP would be liable for any kind of untoward incidents during the program. After the meeting at Lalbazar headquarter, TMC led government people raised some points of unwanted incidents. But court said on apprehension without any reason can no be justified.

Bharatiya Janata Party has termed the victory as the ‘Triumph of Democracy’.
