Kolkata: Calcutta High Court single bench of Tapabrata Chakraborty on Wednesday dismissed the plea of Bharatiya Janata Party asking for security during panchayat board formation. The case has been postponed to September.
BJP has asked for security during the board formation period. Replying their urge the court has clearly stated that, one must clearly mention that ‘Name of the board, district, name of the candidate and other related information on this.
Initially BJP urged for security in five districts. The court also said ‘no’ to their plea.
But lack of evidence has minimised the urge of their importance of BJP in court.
BJP expressed their apprehension that chaos can trigger in Bankura, Purulia and Birbhum. Mostly the places where BJP is leading to form panchayat board. A notice has been issued on August 18 but no implementation has been reported till now.
