Kolkata: Simple books are necessary for Taxpayers’ education and the book “How to handle Income Tax Problems” will be quite useful to the members of the Bar, Bench and officials of Income tax department and professionals, said K.L. Maheshwari, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, while releasing the book “How to Handle Income Tax Problems” at Aaykar Bhavan on Tuesday.
The book is written in a simple and lucid manner and authors Narayan Jain and Dilip Loyalka deserves appreciation, he added.
Justice R.K. Agrawal, Judge of the Supreme Court has written the Foreword and has highly admired the initiative of the authors to present the subject of income tax in a simplified question answer format. The Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has also sent a message in appreciation of the book.
Mr. Bishwanath Jha, Director General of Investigation and S.K. Dash, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax-2 also felt that simpler books help all stakeholders in making proper compliance.
Narayan Jain said that the focus of the book is encouraging people to promote tax culture in India. He also appealed all to extend support in Government efforts in curbing black money in India. Highlighting the contents of the book Dilip Loyalka said that the amended provisions of Income Tax as well as more than 6500 court decisions have been digested in the book.
