New Delhi: The Supreme court on Monday ordered attachment of Sahara Group’s property worth Rs. 39,000 crore at Aamby Valley in Pune.
The apex court asked Sahara to give list of unencumbered properties that can be put to public auction to realise the remaining Rs. 14,000 crore of principle amount.
The apex court also ordered attachment of Amby Valley properties near Lonavala which are worth close to Rs 39,00 crore. Sahara told the top court that they had to pay Rs 14,000 crore as principal money to SEBI and Rs 11,000 crore has already been paid. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for February 20.
