Ram Rahim Singh Convicted: Buses & 2 Railway Stations Set Ablaze

New Delhi: The Haryana government has failed to control the Dera supporters who went berserk after Ram Rahim was convicted in a rape case on Friday. Following the judgement, widespread violence has broken out in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan.

There has been arson in Delhi as well in reaction to the conviction of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in a rape case earlier today.

Two empty rakes of Rewa Express at Anand Vihar Railway Station were set on fire, Northern Railway spokesperson Neeraj Sharma said. Sharma added that security has been tightened at railway stations in the capital.

Two DTC buses were set ablaze on Mandoli flyover in Delhi’s Nand Nagri, allegedly by Dera Sacha Sauda supporters.

PM Modi is monitoring the situation. After returning from abroad Home minister Rajnath Singh is holding a high level meeting. He has spoken to the CMs of Haryana and Punjab.
