Burrabazar Fire Under Control, No Casualty


Kolkata: A major fire broke out at Kolkata’s Burrabazar on Thursday morning. Eight fire trucks rushed to the spot and doused the flames after fighting for several hours.

Despite the severe nature of the fire no one is injured or killed, said fire officials. The fire is likely to have been caused after a LPG cylinder exploded. The busy market had a narrow shave as the fire tenders were able to prevent the fire from engulfing nearby structures.

The incident created a massive traffic snarl at the busy area and people panicked. Although no casualty has been reported property worth in lakhs had been reduced to ashes.
