Bongaon: In a good will gesture the BSF has handed over 29 Bangladeshi nationals, including four children and eight women to Border Guard Banglades (BGB) through the Benapole check post in West Bengal’s North 24 Pargana district on Saturday night.
ubedar Abdul Hamid of 26 BGB Battalion of Benapole camp said members of BSF arrested the 29 from Bongaon in India on Saturday on charge of intruding into the Indian territory, reports United News of Bangladesh.
BSF handed them over to BGB around 8:30pm, he added. The returnees include four children, eight women and 17 men. Later, BGB handed them over to Benapole Port Police Station. A case was filed against them with the police station, said Sub-inspector Ashraf Hossain.
