New Delhi: The Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) will be conducting their annual DG level talks in New Delhi which will begin tomorrow. The 22 member delegation will be meeting their Indian counterparts for a four day talk on various border issues. The meeting will be held at the BSF headquarters at New Delhi.
The meeting is of great significance since it will be the first official meeting after the historic Land Boundary Agreement came into effect with enclaves being exchanged between India and Bangladesh.
The BGB delegation, set to arrive here today, is led by BGB DG Maj Gen Aziz Ahmed while the BSF side will be headed by BSF DG D K Pathak with representatives from Ministry of Home Affairs, External Affairs, Survey of India, NIA and other law enforcement agencies.
