Bring Back Tata, Says Manas Bhunia

Kolkata: Congress leader Manas Bhunia says, Ratan Tata should be brought back to the state to improve the industrialization sector on Monday. He suggested for solution of the issues outside court. According to him, only Ambani is not enough for the improving the face of industry in Bengal.

Mamata Banerjee’s speech regarding creation of industries at the Global Bengal Summit was surprising. Trying to erase the ‘against the industry’ status of Mamata, she said that while in CPM era, she was the MP for 7 times but never opposed any industrialization and never disturbed any industrialist.

But then why did Tata leave Singur. According to some, Mamata Banerjee has started to bring actual change now. If we take a look at the past, Singur’s blazing story is right in front of our eyes. In September 2008 during the previous Left Front regime, the Tatas left Singur in West Bengal and set up Tata Nano car plant at Sanand in Gujarat following an agitation by the then opposition Trinamool Congress’ leader Mamata Banerjee over ‘forceful’ acquisition of land in the area. A case regarding this is now pending in the Supreme Court.
