Kolkata: The chance of rain is increasing with the brewing depression. The met office Kolkata in their latest forecast said that North Bengal has the highest chance of heavy rain along with Sikkim. Kerala, Karnataka, North-Eastern part of India will also witness heavy rain during Lakshmi Puja.
‘Titli’, was worrying people before and during Durga puja. But the cyclonic circulation has shifted to depression which may effect the hilly areas in Northern part of Bengal. The foothills districts of Himalaya will also witness rain within few days.
Mausam Bhavan said that, a depression will form on OCT 23 from Andaman sea to South-East Bay of Bengal which will cause light to moderate rain. But it will not stay for long. Monsoon almost left from West Bengal. But the present condition would not be affected by the brewing depression.
Maharashtra, Kerala , Karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura will witness heavy rain in coming seven days.
