BSF Troops Busts Pak Bunker Across International Boundary


Srinagar: In a strong retaliatory attack following the killing of a BSF jawan and 5 civilians in Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops on Saturday destroyed a Pakistan bunker across international boundary. Reports say that the Indian forces have inflicted heavy damage on the Pakistani side following which Pak Rangers have called up Jammu BSF formation urging them to stop firing.

The BSF has also released a video of the bunker that it has destroyed in retaliatory firing.
On May 18, four civilian and a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan lost their lives in in separate incidents of ceasefire violation in Jammu and Kasmir.

Two civilians were killed in the unprovoked firing by Pakistan Rangers in Arnia whereas, a BSF Jawan identified as Sitaram Upadhyay and two others civilian died in RS Pura Sector of the state during cross-border firing along the Line of Control (LoC).

Notably, the violation of ceasefire by Pakistan in Arnia and RS Pura Sector comes two days after India asked the security forces not to launch operations during Ramzan while accepting the proposal of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to halt security force operations during Amarnath Yatra and Ramzan.
