BREAKING NEWS: BJP Calls For Strike On Wednesday


Kolkata: Bharatiya Janata Party has called for a strike on September 26 as an extended protest of the death of Darivite High School students death.

They also demanded the resignation of State Education Minister within 24 hours. RSS also supported the decision of BJP.

The minister has to resign and apologise within 24 hours if they can not provide valid backgrounds on alleging RSS behind the incident.

The clashes erupted between police and agitating students over the appointment of teachers at Islampur Darivit High School premises on Thursday. The incident has claimed life of two students. Another one student is under treatment in the hospital.

The West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh demanded for CBI investigation in the incident. The State president said that, “All the stuff inside Darivit school are being vandalised. They are hiding all the proofs. At this point it demands a neutral investigation. So we demand CBI investigation.”

It has been alleged that three teachers were being recruited for the Urdu language. But the students alleged that there were no Urdu-language students in the school. They also pointed out that the school needed Bengali language teachers instead. With these accusations, the students started protesting.

As a reation of the incident, the ABVP organisation staged protest in sevral parts of Kolkata. The slogan of the team was “Police beware, AVBP team on highway.”
