Kolkata: An abandoned bag found at Kolkata airport on Wednesday afternoon triggered a bomb scare ahead of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s arrival.
According to sources the bag was found laying abandoned. The Central Industrial Security Force inspected the bag, but eventually nothing was found inside the bag.Meanwhile a panic was spread but situation is normal now.This triggered fear as the incident took place before the arrival of Chief Minister Mamata Bnaerjee who was flying from Chennai after paying homage to the Dravidian icon and DMK chief M Karunanidhi who passed away on Tuesday at the age of ninety four.
Situation in Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Airport, Kolkata is normal now. Passengers are traveling safe. And no panic situation is reported now.
