Female Active Shooter At YouTube Headquarters In California, Many Injured


Update: Multiple people injured by FEMALE active shooter’ inside YouTube’s California headquarters.

Sacramento: Police responding to active shooter situation at YouTube headquarters in Northern California. A heavy police presence has surrounded YouTube’s headquarters in California after reports of an active gunman on Tuesday.

San Bruno police say they “are responding to an active shooter” and cautioned people to stay away from the building, which is on Cherry Avenue, about 11 miles south of San Francisco.

Photos on social media showed people being escorted by law enforcement out of the building with their hands up. Employees of the company say they heard what sounded like shots and took cover.

According to KGOTV, the suspected shooter is a ‘white female adult wearing dark top and headscarf.’ Some employees were able to escape the building and others were sheltering in place. Witnesses reported hearing at least 20 shots.

Google issued a brief statement on the incident: “We are coordinating with authorities and will provide official information here from Google and YouTube as it becomes available.”
