Raipur: 30 Congress MLAs suspended from Chhattisgarh Assembly after they raised protest over CM Raman Singh’s invitation to Metals & Mining Corporation Rio Tinto for investment in the state, alleging that the corporation has connections with Nirav Modi and is black listed in Madhya Pradesh.

The Opposition MLAs during the State Assembly demanded discussion on why Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh invited Metals & Mining Corporation Rio Tinto for investment in the state.

On being denied discussion, the 30 MLAs started protesting alleging the Metals & Mining Corporation Rio Tinto has connection with Nirav Modi and is black listed in Madhya Pradesh. Furiated with the protests Agarwal suspended 30 MLAs.
