Kolkata: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced state BJP leader Mukul Roy as the chairman of West Bengal election committee on Wednesday. This decision was made on Wednesday evening after an important meeting of the BJP’s union party in Delhi.
Mukul Roy is a member of BJP’s National Executive Committee. During the last Panchayat elections in West Bengal, he was the Convener of the party’s election committee. Consequently, it can be said that Roy has been accorded with a very crucial responsibility by the union party.
Earlier, Roy had left the Trinamool Congress and joined BJP. But since then observing Roy’s excellent performance in every vote that he has passed the union party is very much pleased with him.
