BREAKING: Mamata Calls SC Verdict A Moral Victory

Kolkata: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee said that she was “absolutely happy” with the SC verdict directing Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar to appear before the CBI in Shillong.

Speaking about Kolkata top cop Rajeev Kumar, Mamata Banerjee said, “He said I am available and can meet in a mutual place. He’s a simple man. He has been working for 34 years…everybody respects him like Gandhiji in our party.”

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee: But what they started doing? They wanted to arrest him. They went to his house, on a secret operation, on Sunday, without any notice. That court said ‘no arrest’. We are so obliged. It will strengthen the morale of the officers.

Mamata Banerjee said Narendra Modi won’t come back in 2019. “This isn’t an individual fight against Modi. This is interference in our government, our officers, our media. We are not fighting alone…it is a fight for the entire country…those who have been suppressed.”

Mamata Banerjee: “The victory is not mine…it is for the people…farmers..the common man. Everything’s being controlled. Ministers called me and said don’t speak against Modi…I said don’t tell me what to do.”
