BREAKING: Gunfight Between Forces & Terrorists Underway In Tinsukia

Guwahati: A gunfight erupted between security forces and terrorists in Assam’s Tinsukia on Thursday. Security forces started a cordon-and-search operation in Tinsukia after receiving information about the presence of terrorists there.

15 Ulfa members attacked on Thursday evening at Faning jungle area where forces fight back and started gunfight. Sources said, the operation was conducted from noon on Thursday.
Ulfa has already warned the state government against the citizenship amendment bill. The organization’s supreme commander Paresh Barua threatened – The bill will be created huge impact in Assam. .

On the night of November 1, a group of assailants called out six villagers of Kherbari. They then took them to the edge of Dhola-Sadiya bridge in the area and opened fire, killing five of them on spot. One of them survived the firing. The needle of suspicion was towards the United Liberation Front of Asom (Independent) from the very beginning but the organisation denied any role in the killing.
