Breaking: Fire At Howrah’s Godown

Howrah: A major fire broke out at a godown in Howrah’s Musuri area under the
Malipanchghara police station on Sunday. Seven fire tenders were pressed into
service.

The masala-manufacturing godown is located on GT Road near Ghusuri’s Satyabala ID
hospital. The fire is presumed to have caused due to short circuit.

The fire immediately spread to a local embroidery factory and its adjoining areas .
Seven fire tenders brought the fire under control. According to the fire tending
officials, the fire broke out at 5:15 in the evening.

No reports of injury, casualty yet. The fire spread quickly due to the presence of
imflammable substances.

Bapi Manna, councillor, said that huge property worth lakhs of money were
destroyed. The fire first broke out due to short circuit and then it spread to the
factory. It took 2.5 hours to bring the fire under control at around 7 in the
evening.
