Kolkata: An Earthquake of Magnitude 5.5 originated from Konkrajhar of Assam has jolted North-East part of India. Tremor also felt in Bangladesh, partly in Bihar. No immediate loss has been reported.
An earthquake felt on Wednesday morning around 10:20 am. Mostly north bengal districts Malda, Mushidabad, Kurseong, Cooch Behar, North and South Dinajpur, Siliguri, Darjeeling and other districts.
People came out their houses out of panic. 5.5 tremor jolted people for a moment. The tremor lasted for 25-30 second.
Another earthquake took place on Wednesday morning in Jammu and Kashmir. The back to back tremor making vulnerable and raising the chance of Tsunami.
