Kolkata: As per Alipore Met office, the deep depression in west-central Bay of Bengal has intensified into a cyclonic storm and it will effect West Bengal in another way. The heavy rain will expect in coming days. But it will have more impact on the coast of Odisha. Later on the cyclone will hit Andhra coast.
The speed of the cyclone can be 60 to 70 kilometers per hour, according to Met office. At the time of landfall, wind speed would also increase to the tune of 80-90 kmph gusting up to 100 kmph. These would also be accompanied with some intense lightning strikes.
If it is too high, the speed of the wind may be up to 90 kilometers per hour. But this storm will have more impact on Odisha. 55 kilometers per hour will be blowing at the Dighar beach. The rest of the Gangetic West Bengal can witness heavy rains. Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Telangana would all see some heavy rains and thundershowers during the next 24 hours.
The cyclone Daye is given by Mayanmar and is being used for the first time. It will be converted into a cyclone in the next 12 hours. Intermittent spells of moderate to heavy rain and thundershower with strong winds 40-60 KMPH at many places over Bankura, Barddhaman, Birbhum, Dakshin Dinajpur, Haora, Hugli, Kolkatta, Maldah, Murshidabad, Nadia, North Twenty Four Parganas, Paschim Medinipur, Purba Medinipur, Puruliya, South Twenty Four Parganas, and Uttar Dinajpur the districts of West Begal on 20th Sep and 21ist Sep 2018.
The storm will turn into a general depression on 22 September and gradually lose power. If there is a possibility of heavy rain in Odisha and the amount of rainfall in Andhra will be reduced.
