BREAKING: Boat With 50 Onboard Capsizes In Murshidabad

Berhampore: In a shocking incident, four people died after a boat carrying 50
people capsised in Murshidabad’s Bhairav river located at Garibpur in Domkal area
on Thursday.

Massive search and rescue operation has been launched to rescue the remaining. Four
bodies have been recovered so far. Many have been rescued already and 12 are
missing at the moment.

The Murshidabad district authorities have rushed to the spot. According to locals,
the boat was crossing the river from South Garibpur to North Garibpur on Thursday
just like any other day. But the boat suddenly lost control and capsised.

Many swam to safety. However, a total of 12 people including a child, are yet to be
rescued. Divers have been sent in to look for the missing as per the Domkal sub-
divisional authority.
