Kolkata: Bharatiya Janata Party has postponed the schedule of their party programme ‘Ratha-Yatra'(BJP-Chariot tour) in the meeting held on Monday morning.
Previously, December 5, 7, 9 were the dates for the chariot tour. Prioritising the lagislative election in five states, the decision has been made. The party members are busy in election campaign.
Emphasising the occasion Rathayatra, West Bengal Bharatiya Janata Party holding a high-level meeting on Monday. Shivprakash, Arvind Menon, Suresh Pujari, three central observers of BJP has participated in the meeting.
Apart from them, Sate BJP Eelction committee chairman Mukul Roy, State BJP president Dilip Ghosh, National Secretary of BJP Rahul Sinha, Co-president Biswapriya Chowdhury, Genral Secretary Sayantan Basu and others leaderships of the party.
As per the BJP source, three chariots will tour fourty two Lok Sabha constituencies on December 3, 5, and 7. Centering to the party programme, the meeting took place on that purpose.
Election Commission of India Omprakash Rawat has announced schedule of assembly election in five states which will start from November 28.
Single phase election will take place in Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Rajasthan, Telengana. But two phase election will take in Chattishgarh to reduce the pressure and a peaceful election.
Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram– November 28, Rajasthan, Telengana– December 7, Chattishgarh- November 12 & November 20.
The entire election process will take place has to be completed within December 15 in five states. Following the rule, the counting of election will take place on December 11 for five states.
VVPAT will be use in four states. To avoid any untoward situation, videography will be done in every every centres. Each centre will be under surveillance during election time.
