Dhaka: In cricket, we’ve seen the best of bowling figures. And we’ve now seen the worst of bowling figures. But going for 92 runs in just four deliveries is shockingly special. Yes, you read that right and IndiaTimes reported about that.
This happened during the Dhaka Second Division Cricket League between teams named Axiom and Lalmatia. The second innings barely lasted four deliveries and the chasing team secured the 92-run target with utmost ease.
You must be wondering about the reason behind such pathetic bowling. The bowler, Sujon Mahmud, bowled 15-no balls and 65 wides in a bid to protest against the unfair umpiring. The discontent arose between the two soon after the toss as the umpire didn’t allow the Lalmatia captain to see the coin. Lalmatia were sent in to bat first and managed to score 88 runs in 14 overs, which was also perceived to be an outcome of poor umpiring.
Eventually, the team decided to bowl in this manner to protest against the dubious umpiring pattern. What a way to take revenge!
