Kolkata: The journey of 39th Kolkata International bookfair has started from Tuesday. CM Mamata Banerjee was present at the Milan Mela complex to inaugurate the fair. The book-lovers can lay their hands on their favourite books from Wednesday.
Six of Mamata Banerjee’s books have been published in this year’s edition of the bookfest. Out of the six books, five of it are in Bengali and the other one is in Urdu. The Chief Guest of this year’s bookfair, Nimai Bhattacharya was present at the spot with Mamata. Nimai bhattacharya said that books are the best friend of human beings. The CM added that within two months the ‘city of joy’ will be a Wi-Fi free city.
