Bomb Scare On Air India Flight AI 332, Passengers Evacuated


New Delhi: All passengers on board Air India AI 332 from New Delhi have been evacuated at Bangkok airport following a bomb scare, officials said Wednesday.

The bomb threat was detected while the flight was mid air following which it landed at Suvarnabhumi airport around 7.10 local time and taxied to an area away from other jets.

Thai websites reported that 231 passengers. including a child, and 10 crew members were immediately evacuated from the aircraft.

Police from the explosive ordnance disposal unit are checking all pieces of luggage including those loaded on the aircraft, Bangkok Post quoted an airport official as saying.

AI 332 which flies to Bangkok daily left New Delhi at 2 pm on Wednesday. More details are awaited.
