Kolkata: Train services in the south section of Sealdah were disrupted on Saturday morning following a bomb hoax in the station complex. During the office hours of Saturday morning, an abandoned packet was found on the railway lines of the south section. Tension spread among the passengers following the discovery. The packet was recovered by GRP personnel after they received the information.
The packet was later inspected by the officials of the bomb disposal squad but no bombs were discovered. According to the Bomb disposal squad, the packet was rounded with cellophane paper but it was not a bomb. Train services were disrupted for nearly 20 minutes due to the incident.
