Bomb explodes from garbage dump, 4 kids injured


KOLKATA: Around four children were injured out of which three were critical after a bomb exploded in a garbage dumping ground at Halisahar in North 24 Parganas on Wednesday.All the injured were rushed to the Bhatpara State General hospital from where three of them were later shifted to Kalyani JNM hospital after their condition was stated to be critical. Police said, the incident took place around 10.30 am in the morning of Wednesday while some children, aged between 8 to 10 were playing near the dumping ground at Prasadnagar in Bijpur.

While they found a ball like substance lying in the garbages, they immediately started playing with it that soon exploded. All the four injured identified as Sumit Shaw, Sunny Shaw, Suraj Shaw and Atanu Pal were injured after being hit by splinters.
