Bollywood Actress Jaya Prada Talks On #MeToo Movement In Howrah


Howrah: Reacting to the ongoing hotcake #MeToo against sexual harassment, Bollywood famous actress Jaya Prada said that , ” The Me Too campaign was necessary earlier. The allegations that hitting the ground is highly blameworthy. But its good that women are being outspoken on this. They are protesting. Maneka Gandhi has formed a committee on this issue.”

She added on this, “I am blessed that I have been blessed. To survive in this world, it is important to be blessed. I thank the club committee member who took the initiative to bring me here. I’m performing fast on Navaratri. I wish people must live a happy life.” On the occassion of 73rd year of their Durga Puja, Jaya Prada was present at the programme.

She performed puja to Maa Durga. West bengal Co- operative minister Arup Roy, MLA Dr Nirmal Majhi, Social Worker Srikant Ghosh, Dipak Das from the puja committee, Mohan Basu were present in the programme. To celebrate the 150 years of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary, Howrah Tarun Samiti themed Gandhi in the puja pandal. Apart from this, it will take people to their childhood and Gandhi’s contribution in Dandi Abhiyan.
