Blast Followed By Firing Reported At Pulwama


Srinagar: An Army Casper of Army’s 44RR came under an IED blast followed by heavy firing near Noapora in Pulwama district in wee hours on Tuesday.

Militants on Tuesday made an attempt to blow up an army’s armoured vehicle in this south Kashmir district. Around 3:15 am today, militants detonated an IED in Garbugh village of Lassipora here to target an army’s Casper, official sources told Kashmir Reader. Militants also opened fired upon the soldiers after detonating the IED.

However, Suspected militants fired few shots towards the house of former finance minister and National conference senior leader Abdul Rahim Rather in Badipora village of Budgam district late night hrs. An official said that during intervening night, gunmen fired gunshots towards the residence of NC leader in Badipora village of Budgam. However, No damage was reported in the incident. NC leader was not present inside his house when the incident took place.
