Jakarta: Republic of Indonesia’s national search and rescue agency on wednesday reported that the cockpit voice recorder of QZ 8501 aircraft which grasp in the sea on has been found from the sea bed this morning.it was found at a distance of approx. 20 metre from the location where the flight data recorder was found yesterday.
The agency confirmed that both parts of the aircraft’s black box have been recovered and has been taken to Jakarta for further investigation.
BASARNAS Chief, Marshal Bambang Soelistyo has assured that the search operation to recover the passenger’s body are still on. The search process is facing challenges due to bad weather and under water current.
The agency has confirmed to have recovered a total of 48 dead bodies of which 36 have been identified by Disaster Victim Identification, a police department of Rep. Of Indonesia and the process of identification of the rest are still going on.
Air Asia also urged the public, seeking progress in the search and evacuation of the passengers to rely on the official information from BASARNAS and DVI POLRI.
