BJP’s Rupa Alleges Rigging, Indulges in Scuffle

Update:  FIR filed against BJP candidate Roopa Ganguly. She was also accused of leading a procession near booths, shoving a TMC supporter and arguing with central forces.

Howrah: BJP’s Roopa Ganguly allegedly indulged in brawl with TMC activists in Howrah booth over alleged rigging on Monday during poll.  Uproar at the booth no of 93 and 94 of Arvind High school in Salkia (Howrah), Voters allege that TMC agents are forcing them to vote and then Roopa indulged in scuffle. EC seeks report on BJP candidate Roopa Ganguly’s activities on polling day.

BJP’s Roopa Ganguly entangled in a brawl with the deputy Mayor of Howrah also. She was complaint that polling officer of the booth helped voters to do rigging. But Election commission said that all problems are over.

After this incident Roopa also heard of rigging at Sri Krishna Balika Vidyalaya booth.  She accused the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) of rigging inside a booth in another incident. She said her party had information about supporters of the ruling party planning to rig the election. She engaged in brawl with TMC agent Soma Das. Chief electoral officer seeks report of this incident.
