Kolkata: The West Bengal Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has started the process of challenging the Election Commission’s (EC) fresh circulation over one day extension of filling nomination.
The West Bengal Election Commission cancels the order of nomination extension over some legal issues. On Monday EC extended the last date for filing nominations until Tuesday for panchayat elections.
“The way State Election Commission has withdrawn their yesterday’s order by this they have proved that this is not election commission but this is Mamata Commission”, State BJP Secretary Ritesh Tiwari claimed. The BJP has started the process of initiating legal action against the EC’s decision on Tuesday.
