BJP to lodge protests demanding proper enquiry of SJDA scam


Siliguri: Darjeeling District BJP on Wednesday said that they would lodge protests in demand of the punishment of the accused in the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri Development Authority (SJDA) financial scam. BJP district President Rathin Bose alleged that the investigations of the scam are not being conducted properly and the police are trying to shield the leaders of the ruling party involved in the scam.

Financial irregularities of nearly 200 cr were spotted with the SJDA over the construction of Electrical Chulli in North Bengal. The former CEO of SJDA, Kiram Kumar Godala was arrested by the CID in connection with the scam.

The BJP had already filed a case in the SJDA scam.  Bose said that now demonstration will be held in demand of CBI probe in the incident.
