BJP stages demostration outside Kejriwal’s house

New Delhi: BJP staged a demonstration outside the house of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence demanding the immediate resignation of law Minister Jitender Singh Tomar over allegations that the degree of law possessed by him is fake.

The protest was led by BJP’s Delhi Chief Satish Upadhay who said that the law minister should not be allowed to hold office anymore.

Attacking Kejriwal he said, “You said you would chuck anyone out of party if seen indulging in wrong-doing, why aren’t you doing this now?”

On the other hand, Law Minister Jitender Singh Tomar has rejected all the calls of his resignation saying that his degree is 100% genuine. The allegations were put up against the Delhi Law Minister after Bihar’s Manjhi Bhagalpur University said that the provisional certificate issued in his name was fabricated.

An affidavit was filed at Delhi High Court by the University and the court has given Tomar time till 20 August to file his response.
