BJP reduces strike by 2 hours citing IPL

Kolkata: The BJP on Tuesday reduced the 12 hour state wide strike to 10 hours citing the IPL match in the city. On the other hand Left Front too had called for a bandh on the same day for 12 hours.
The oppositions in their desperation to corner the ruling Trinamool government has called for the bandh citing massive violence and rigging in the municipal poll across the state.
Although TMS registered a massive victory in Kolkata and across the state, it is concerned about the allegations leveled against it for orchestrating political violence across the state.
