BJP Plans Protest Rally Across Kolkata Against Killing Of 2 Party Workers

Kolkata: Supreme Court on Friday announced the result which goes in favour of the West Bengal Government and Election Commission. The 34% uncontested win will be valid. Trinamool started forming panchayat boards after getting final verdict from Supreme Court.

After Panchayat elections, clashes reported especially in Purulia and Jhargram. BJP alleged that two BJP workers have died in police firing in Ghagra of Jaipur in Purulia on Tuesday.

According to sources, BJP is planning to organise protest across Kolkata against the alleged killing of two party workers in West Bengal’s Purulia district, a senior party leader said.

The top state BJP leader said, “The date has not yet been finalized. But we will soon launch a protest rally across the state against ruling party. The whole thing is still on the stage of discussion. It has been learned that BJP Yuva Morcha will lead the protest rally.

Two BJP workers were killed and four others suffered injuries when police allegedly opened fire to disperse a mob during the formation of a panchayat board at Joypur in Purulia district on Monday afternoon.

Workers of the BJP and the Left Front were protesting against a decision of officials not to accept the Scheduled Caste certificate of a BJP winner who was projected as the pradhan of Ghagra gram panchayat by non-Trinamul parties.
