BJP demands CBI enquiry over actual voting percentage


Coochbehar: BJP President Rahul Sinha has demanded a CBI enquiry into the actual percentage of vote cast in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation elections on last Saturday. On the day of the elections, the state election commission had said that 62 percent vote was cast in the KMC polls. One day later the state EC announced that the voting percentage was 67.

The BJP has demanded a CBI enquiry into the matter where the voting percentage was increased by the Election Commission within a day. Speaking to journalists at BJP district office in Coochbehar, he said that BJP will also approach the court in this regard.
