Kolkata: In a major reshuffle prior to the 2016 Assembly polls the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in West Bengal has replaced Rahul Sinha with Dilip Ghosh as the state organization president on Friday.
Sinha’s ouster has been announced in the BJP website. Sinha, who has served two terms, was facing criticism from within the party after BJP’s debacle in the municipal polls. However Sinha has been appointed as the all India secretary of the party.
On the other hand, the appointment of Dilip Ghosh known as RSS favourite, is deemed by many as a bid to revamp Hindutva issue prior the Assembly polls in the state.
BJP prior the Bihar polls was deemed as a major force in West Bengal has lost ground due to the party’s flop show in Bihar and the recent intolerance row has casted a gloom on its image.
