Kolkata:BJP cancels Rathyatra considering the forthcoming Madhyamik exam but has arranged for four large scale meetings to be held across the state, according to sources.
As announced earlier, BJP had a schedule of Rathyatra starting from January 20 till January 31st starting from four different places across the state. But considering the Madhyamik exam to be held on the month of February, they have decided to cancel the Rathyatra. Instead of the Rathyatra, BJP will have large scale Public meeting at Maldah, Burdwan, Barasat and Howrah.
According to BJP sources, they will have meeting at Maldah on 18 Jan and Burdwan on 19 Jan. and the other two meeting will be held on 21st January in Barasat and 25th January in Howrah. They are expecting BJP President Amit Shah to take part in one of the meetings.
